Despite being in the same city at the same time, probably best to keep these two apart.
Meanwhile, Charlie Brooker goes on location, and live, to cover … eh … himself.
When disaster strikes anywhere in the world there’s no better place to be than a newsroom.
Unless the disaster is the CBC News Network.

Glad to know I’m not the only one who gets creeped out when Peter does that flirty thing with Claire. It just feels so wrong when he tries to engage her with stupid little comments before and after her segment. Just intro Claire, let her do her thing, and then wrap the show instead of coming across as some pervy old uncle.
Claire plays the role of cute leprechaun, a bit over-the-top.
The viewers are there for the weather report, Claire, not you.
You realize that the weather unit has its own camera and set of 3 screens from the news 3 screens, cameras, etc. in the Vancouver half-assed new studios just off the Vancouver Cubicle Corral.
One wall news, across the room, weather.
Martin is a professional, and hasn’t done (much) silly things, yet.
Whereas the U.S. and privates have faces and not-a-single-brain to share between them. Even the late Percy Saltzman learned on the job and never really understood weather, just how to juggle chalk.
Even my elderly mum can’t stand the obvious Peter/Claire flirtation & changes the channel when they come on. She just wishes they would date & get it over with.
