Denise Donlon, narrowcastrix

To the Star: “Commercial radio is about narrowcasting, fitting into a tight niche. CBC is a multi-level broadcasting platform…. It’s a different kettle of fish. It has a responsibility to reflect a sense of Canada that’s as wide and diverse as the country itself.”

To a Tubby blog: “[I]f you want in-depth, wide-ranging content, you can listen to CBC Radio. If you want the pleasure of a specific stream of information, you go to CBC.CA. That’s the great thing: You have the option of multiplatform or narrowcast delivery, and I think we’ll continue to focus on how to improve that.”
