Your Role:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person to work in our Customer Experience and Software Support department at Shared Services. Created in October 2003, Shared Services provides a one-stop shop for Technology, Human Resources and Finance transactional and administrative support needs within CBC/Radio-Canada.

In collaboration with the other Sr. Analysts, HR systems, using Benefits, Payroll, and Human Resources knowledge/expertise, you will provide a full range of consultative services to HR System users throughout the Corporation. You will maintain HR systems control tables or the content of HR Related Web Functionality. You will determine system changes and prepare and submits system changes/improvements to supplier/IT in consultation with users. Tests and authorizes the implementation of changes.

You will be a resource person to internal I.T., Project Teams, National Compensation, Pension, Benefits Administration, Corporate Payroll, external consultants and suppliers and liaise with Industrial and Talent Relations on corporate issues and strategies relating to corporate payroll (National, Executive and Pension pay) and Corporate Human Resources matters. You will also deal with confidential information at a senior level pertaining to payroll and human resources and liaise/consult with different external third parties for legislative matters.

Your Profile:

  • Five (5) years or more of experience in related fields, including exposure to the payroll process.
  • University/College education and/or member of a professional association in functional area would be an asset.
  • Completion or in the process of completion of the Canadian Payroll Association Certificate strong asset.
  • Bilingualism, French and English, is required.
  • Advanced knowledge of the VIP system, its processes and capabilities.
  • Experience in working with collective agreements, various human resources’ programs, payroll and benefits functions and policies as well as an understanding of federal and provincial legislation.
  • Experience in managing complex and multiple files.
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills with diplomacy and tact.
  • Ability to work with a team, sharing knowledge and ideas and exercise leadership in the team environment.
  • Attention to details.
  • Ability to analyze and synthesize.
  • Excellent analytical and problem resolution skills.
  • Creativity in the provision of advise, guidance and recommending the best options and solutions.
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage conflicting priorities and multiple demands.
  • Professionalism and discretion in the dissemination of confidential material.
