As Project Manager for Digital Programming & Business Development, you will assemble and lead a project team in a matrix environment. You will ensure end users’ goals and CBC’s objectives are met. You will oversee all stages of the project life cycle.
What’s the role:
- In this role, you will work with stakeholders to define scope, work with resource managers to assemble a project team and develop the project plan and budget.
- In addition to this, you will manage technical development related to the internet, manage risk, communications and change on the project.
- The position will also require that you ensure quality targets are established and met.
- You will identify "lessons learned," and facilitate information transfer on close-out.
- You are able to provide direction and continuity to a team, while handling multiple priorities and competing demands.
- You take initiative and act pro-actively, and your strength is communicating effectively with a broad range of creative, technical, and business people to get things done.
What you bring:
- You will bring with you knowledge of the internet, and an understanding of how people use it.
- You have an awareness of major media web sites, and keep abreast of industry developments.
- Your experience will primarily be in facilitating the delivery of online interactive products for a broad audience base.
- Ideally, this experience includes initiatives related to online video, social media tools and mobile-friendly web/native app development.
- Experience in developing search applications would also be valued.
- You will have a university degree or equivalent, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in project management, ideally with experience implementing projects using Agile concepts.
- In addition, you will have extensive and detailed knowledge of internet and/or software development and technologies, and what it takes to manage technical development along with the fundamentals of interface design, usability and accessibility as they relate to the web.
- You will also have working knowledge of enterprise web server hardware platforms and configurations.
- We are looking for someone that will be able to communicate clearly and effectively, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- You will bring strong negotiation and consensus-building skills, tact, and diplomacy to this role.
- The PMP certification is considered an asset.
