What you do:
As Media Librarian, you will select, analyze, index, preserve, retain, research and manage audio and audiovisual documents in accordance with the rules and principles of library and information sciences and with corporate standards and policies.
The successful candidate will initially be assigned to select and analyze content broadcast on the Web. However, he or she could also be required to work on multiple platforms.
This position has flexible hours (evenings, nights, days and weekends) and rotating assignments.
We’re looking for a candidate with the following:
- Master’s degree in library and information sciences or the equivalent
- Minimum one (1) year’s experience performing related duties
- Fluent in the working language (French) and very good understanding of the other official language (English)
- Very good knowledge of current events
- Extensive general knowledge
- Very good knowledge of office automation software and a solid understanding of how databases are structured
- Very good knowledge of Corporation programming
- Able to analyze, synthesize and think critically
