Reporting to the Manager, English Services Training, this position provides administrative and logistical support for training programs delivered through the English Services Training department.
What’s the role:
- Researches and liases with external training providers
- Handles communication with external and internal training resources/training providers; ensures financial information necessary to the management of programs is collected and maintained.
- Organizes and coordinates execution of a course
- Helps to set up and maintain training facilities and provides technical support as needed
- Coordinates arrangements for the implementation of training courses including; confirmation of course location, attendance, materials, etc.
- Provides clerical support to training instructors in the preparation of course materials (ie. duplication, general and pre-course correspondence as required)
- Provides recommendations for quality improvements within service or delivery of training programs and implements these improvements as required
- Provides input and advice on the functioning of the learning department processes and standards
What you bring:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the organization of training programs or events
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to handle multiple competing demands and to prioritize work and meet deadlines
- Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented and a facility with new technology
- Strong computer skills: MS Word, MS Excel, E-mail, Internet and intranet.
- Knowledge of SAP system preferred
- Bilingualism (in French and English) an asset.
