CBC/Radio-Canada is Canada’s national public broadcaster and one of its largest cultural institutions. CBC/Radio-Canada brings diverse regional and cultural perspectives into the daily lives of Canadians in English, French and eight Aboriginal languages.
As Project Manager, your role will involve coordinating online projects. You will oversee a project team tasked with developing and implementing creative, innovative ideas. You will promote team synergy; motivate, coach and assign duties to team members; and ensure that deadlines are met.
To this end, you will pre-review projects for feasibility, and propose the best approaches for showcasing content and CBC/Radio-Canada’s distinctive nature. You will also plan the phases of each project, from preproduction to go-live. Moreover, you will follow up with stakeholders and team members to resolve the various issues that may arise during project development so that the end result matches the initial objectives.
2 contractual positions ending June 19, 2011 with possibility of renewal.
We’re looking for a candidate with the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in communications (interactive media) or management, or other relevant university degree;
- Three (3) to five (5) years’ experience performing related duties;
- Strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills;
- In-depth knowledge of project life-cycle methodologies;
- Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously;
- Project drafting skills;
- Up on the latest trends and technologies;
- Analytical mind and open-minded approach to problem solving;
- Bilingualism (French and English);
- Knowledge of Microsoft Visio, Project and Office.
