What you do:
Responsible for responding to users’ computer operation and office automation problems, and ensuring control over operations in connection with computer networks, peripherals and software, and the management of data communications networks in order to ensure data processing and the availability of information systems and office automation software.
Two (2) temporary positions until August 2010.
Possibility of rotation (day, evening and weekends).
We’re looking for a candidate who has the following:
- College diploma (D.C.S.) in systems support, administrative data processing, or the equivalent.
- Minimum two (2) year’s experience performing similar or related duties.
- Minimum two (2) years’ experience providing telephone or on-site user support.
- Knowledge of Novell and Windows environment.
- Knowledge in installing and configuring the physical components of a microcomputer and operating systems (Windows 2000, XP).
- Good knowledge in solving problems related to desktop software in a Microsoft environment (2000 and 2007).
- Knowledge in troubleshooting.
- Good knowledge of support processes prescribed by ITIL.
- Using common troubleshooting and anti-virus/anti-spyware software.
- Good communication skills and outreach to users.
- Knowledge of the Blackberry and iPhone (an asset).
- Fluent in French and functional in English.
