What you do:

  • As Graphic Designer / Integrator, you work closely with journalists and Web content managers to enhance the online content they produce. You daily tasks include conducting research, touching up images, designing promotional banners, and occasionally designing microsites.
  • You are also expected to be able to integrate the pages you create and be interested in working with CBC/Radio-Canada’s in-house content management system (CMS) tools.

Two (2) temporary positions until June 19, 2011.

For reference purposes, the work schedule may occasionally vary (days, evenings, weekends).

We are looking for a candidate with the following:

  • College or university training in graphic design and multimedia integration, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum two years’ Web experience
  • Advanced knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, as well as high proficiency with Flash
  • High proficiency with Dreamweaver
  • Good knowledge of HTML
  • Good knowledge of CSS integration
  • Knowledge of basic XML.

  • Interest in graphic design, visual arts, and photography
  • Meticulous; detail- and quality-oriented
  • Able to work quickly and accurately
  • Able to multi-task
  • Good organizational and prioritization skills
  • Able to communicate and engage with others on a personal and professional level, particularly with co-workers and immediate supervisors
  • Able to provide solutions to problems that arise or take them up with the appropriate people.
  • You must enjoy teamwork and playing a resource-person role, as you will be the first point of contact for journalists and Web content managers in online matters.
  • In addition to supporting day-to-day coverage, your skills may be required for special events such as galas, concerts and elections. As a result, you may occasionally have to work outside normal business hours.
