Looks Orange           Looks like a dork     Looks like a hostage
Lights? Camera? Make up? Fuck it!
These were the Skypes I was able to snap a screen shot of.Â
I missed Kevin O’leary broadcasting live from his ego’s reading room and  Colleen Jones gabbing with b.f.f. Heather Live from her Halifax kitchen of exhile. Perhaps the only kitchen in Halifax I’ve ever seen without a party in it.
Anyway it all looks like crap. Hope its worth the cost savings cuz I’m sure we’re losing more than money.

I support the use if Skype as a way to connect with canadians who would other wise phone it in to a Television program. Also, if a reporter is in a Canadian location with no way of feed live video Skype is a get way to be more connected and more transparent. A Skype bootcamp is needed to teach rudimentary framing, lighting(no not putting up a light but use the ambient light) and background techniques to CBC staff who may need it. If we get a crappy image from a civilian no problem.
This morning, Friday, on CBC NN Colleen Jones was live at Robert Stanfield Airstrip in Halifax via Skype. The shot looked good (I hope Colleen Jones at least received an apple fritter for her excellent placement of the Tim Hortons sign), couldn’t the folks down home get a live shot out or due to security or other reasons they won’t let them do a live shot, Christmas kitchen party the night before for the Sat Trucks operators, Colleen is now solo in a.m., the truck is in the shop, those central Canadians from Toranna took back da freakin’ truck eh.
There already are enough ‘dog lick” live hits from Front & Wellington in Toronto and in front of the CBC building your city. Lets not turn the use of Skype into another “because we can” gimmick.
Tired of picking apart the CBC I plan to pepper in my snarky comments with some constructive ideas. Richard I will cost less and bring in better results than Magid & Co.
o’leary is a grade a twit. he and don cherry are morphing into the same terrible, tax payer funded blowhard idiot blob.
If the news looks like something thay could do at home and the content is something they can google why would they watch us?
