New expenses reports have been posted, showing that in the closing months of ’08, as the CBC was losing millions, Stursberg’s self-entitled billings didn’t just stay the same, they actually went up!
Though we assume that he has an office, he still finds it necessary to have dinner with a “broadcast executive” and pick up the $244.78 tab.
Hubert too has finally gotten the hang of things, with expenses jumping from $3,114 in ’07 to that maxed-out apparent ceiling of$18,790.16.
The $20,000 range is the same as the one favoured by both Lafrance ( $19,485) and Stursberg ($20,757.07).
It’s as if they seem to know exactly when to stop drinking in each 3-month period.
But at least Hubert scored a nice trip out of the job.
Who knew the CBC had a Paris bureau.

Breakfast really is the most important meal of the day, judging by what Stursberg spent on breakfast meetings. Canada lives here — but senior management lives high on the hog. I highly recommend “The Pork Barrel” but I can never seem to get a reservation. But apparently some folks at the CBC have their own table.
Oink Oink
“Who knew the CBC had a Paris bureau”?
OMG, have you not noticed we have several French language TV and Radio networks? A Paris bureau? Shocking.

Ummm, Ouimet did. This blog did.
There was a bit of a Kerfuffle in ‘O5. We called it a “lockout”. Paul Workman called it a test of his integrity.
Guess that was before your time ;).
