About a month ago, an anonymous tipster sent me a link to what appeared to be Tony Burman’s website. It was a “coming soon” affair with enigmatic, blurry pictures of camels in the desert. Then the pictures disappeared. He was writing a column for the CBC, but it hasn’t been updated in a month.
Then I got another anonymous tip saying that tonyburman.com was a hoax and I was an unwitting pawn in an obscure, forgotten vendetta. Yet another tipster told me Tony has taken a senior position at Al-Jazeera. Makes sense. He was always a strong supporter.
But I’m not sure what to believe anymore.
If you can sort this shit out, let us know in the comments.

Tony Burman has been an Al Jazeera employee for years now. Where have you people been?
Allan wrote: “Whoever registered the domain paid an extra fee to have their identity kept secret. What are they ashamed of?”
So, now we see the real mettle of this person – a right-wing “guilt by association” baiter. A post worthy of Hillary Clinton.
Get a life, Allan, before you wind up at the age of 40 wondering how everything you did before that turned out to be such a waste of time.
And whoever registered the domain paid an extra fee to have their identity kept secret. What are they ashamed of?
Oh, right.
The domain “Tony Burman.com” is owned by a shy person in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia. I looked it up.
Al-Jazeera is “owned” by Osama Bin Laden.
This story has been around the gossip circuit for at least a month. Even if it’s true, so what?!
