Friday was one of those days where working at the CBC seemed like the best job in the world. Paul Gorbould, filling in for Tod at Inside the CBC, does a great job of summing up the situation, and photographing the chaos on Front street.
Who would have thought that it would only take a million rednecks to liven up Front and John?
And right in the middle of it all is the “CBC Sports Café.” But let’s not mince words here. It’s a bar. A CBC Bar. Where the Mövenpick used to be. For CBCers and and anyone else who wants to come. We sell beer there and make money. And I’ll be damned if it isn’t a lot of fun.
And on Friday, News at 6 broadcast from there, live.
It was noisy as hell and chaotic. No one could stop smiling.
The fellow in the background seems to have a real thing for Diana. Who can blame him? It looks like he’s going to make his move.
I’m going to deem this one a success, and the weekend hasn’t even finished yet. Kudos to whoever thought it up.
In fact, if I see you at the bar, I’ll buy you a drink.
